CONTENT
Currently under permanent exposition are approxamently 10,000 toys, accounting for only a small portion of the complete collection. Antique toys being the primary focus here, this collection also branches of into Contemporary art, Mexican folk art, and other art deco antiques. A variety of world wide toys are displayed here in artistic and thematic display cases, serving as habitats, made out of recycled or antique material.
PROJECT
This ongoing project is maintained without any outside finance. This is a collectors dream to preserve history and each of our joyful childhood memories. This collection has no actual counted number of pieces, but it is possible that it's numbers surpass one million. Do to limited space it is impossible to display it all, but at the moment you will certainly find toys in every category, and lots more still to come... We are currently in search of Sposors. "Rur Robot" made out of an old 194o's electricity transformer. The robot can move, shoot smoke, and pass electric rays above its head. It's home to 1950's Japanese space toys and robots from different makers such as Yoshiya, Masudaya Modern Toys, and others.
Rideables and other Tin metal toys. Figures, vehicles, and many other toys.
1950's German Bicycle with original Mexican antique accessories. These would cater to tourists.
Doll display case featuring the biggest composition doll made in Mexico 1932.
1937 Mexican steam engine, mounted on original rails running over an old pedal car. These are mounted on an antique maintenance railroad wagon.
Mexican kitsch center table with Carl Zeiss reflectors to present early German toys. In the background there are also many other display cases holding many antique toys of different ages.
Space ship used as a fair ride. Kids would climb inside, sit in total darkness, while the saucer was turned manually on its belly. Its now home to many Japanese space toys and robots.
Mexican wrestlers. Maybe the only real Mexican toys aside from wooden or tin hand made toys.
Many display cases such as an old telephone both and water tank. There are many Marx toys found here, table games, character figures, and other very rare peices. Such as the Plastimarx robot.
Mexican bobbling heads. The only ones made in Mexico.
1940's and 50's record players, 2 old theater spot lights, all homes to antique toys. German Motorcycles, 1950's battery operated cars, and musical toys.
Planes, table games, vehicles, figures, kitchens, doll houses, ships, trains, Meccano, Schuco, Marx, amoung many other toys.
